Dearest Readers We are often asked, why bridal? Why did we choose the bridal world? Well my friends let me explain. My adventure began as a child loving Barbie’s. The wedding was always my favorite thing to do. Ken and Barbie were married hundreds of times. In order to achieve my goals, I would draw out clothing designs for reception, the gown, the colors, EVERYTHING! I mixed matched clothes, borrowed from other dolls and neighborhood friends. The wedding was a big deal to me. My adventure continues with full size Barbie’s in all walks of life giving me my childhood dreams to live over and over again. I truly find joy in what I do and I feel like it is a reflection of what my purpose is in life. My oldest is Jessica Brooke began working in bridal at 14 steaming dresses and helping me at the shop. It was quality time together. Her heart became bridal and sales is what she loves. Jessica Brooke is all in with bridal, still loves to steam a dress to perfection. Bre is our Prom girl and loves to put her heart into picking out styles and finding the right dress for prom girls. So when you come in for prom you will meet Bre! List of what to bring to your alteration appointment: Bridal shoes Undergarments Spanks if you choose to wear them Reception shoes Alterations expectations: It is not uncommon to need to adjust your top to fit flush on your skin. The length requires shortening to fit to your bridal shoes. IF your bridal gown rolls under, you can trip. A bustle on the back of your bridal gown raises up your train to keep it off the ground and secure it for your reception. This is the most common expectation for your bridal gown. Time is of the essence, when your dress arrives, get lined up for alterations to avoid rush fees. A rush fee can be high and is an additional charge, depending on the seamstress and how short the time might be. Expect your dress to be in alterations 2-5 months depending on their work load. You will try on your dress 2 or more times depending on what needs to be done. Customizations are also an option like adding on sleeves or changing your neckline. Bridal Sample Sale! Savings galore for our sample dresses and accessories. Here is the 411 on the sample sale. It is off the rack, as-is condition, at a major discounted price. SAMPLE SIZE is a cash and carry event where you will take the gown home that day. Is sizing an issue? Not always, with the pricing so low, you can have a dress altered to fit. For example, the dress can be 2 sizes too big and cut down to fit. Or if the dress is too small there is always let out room or you are able to add a corset in the back. So many options to keep you at a reasonable budget. Sample Sale shopping is a little faster pace than regular bridal dress shopping, you are here for "bargain shopping."
